Bintan Day 01

I did not get better!

I was having a terrible sore throat when I woke up in the morning. I was so tired and dropped back to sleep, deciding to take the day off from work (of course after informing my colleague). It was already 11 AM when I woke up later.

JR sent me to the doctor at Plaza Singapura and I got my MC for the day. After that, we went to collect my bag strap from Taka’s LV and had lunch at Mos Burger.

FY & Sharon took half-day afternoon leave today and we met them to get the marinated food for our BBQ. Following that, we went on separate ways to finish up the final packing for our trip. We arranged to meet at 6:30 PM in the evening – FY will get the cab and fetch us to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

BUT…

FY was late! It was almost 7 PM when JR and I got onto the cab. We were supposed to be at the Ferry Terminal at 7:20 PM! Yee Sze called. Yusin and her were already at the terminal! Luckily it wasn’t too far to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal from our place.

It was a long ride to Bintan Lagoon Resort. Bintan roads are equally lowly lit but the roads condition is much better compared to Batam.

21:16 (BT) The pre-ordered items, charcoal, eggs and ice, from the resort arrived. JR, FY and YS went to the BBQ area to set up the fire.

A big beetle flew into the villa through the open sliding doors. We went searching for it as Yee Sze felt uncomfortable with the beetle somewhere in the villa. Yusin found it at the stairway and he caught it using the container that I had brought for the fireflies.

00:07 (BT) FY & Sharon stayed downstairs to do the cleaning up; JR moved all of our luggage to the 2nd level bedrooms. Yee Sze & I went around snapping photos of the bedrooms.

JR & YS moved the 2 single beds together.
