The EF 50mm F1.8 II performed very well for low lighting conditions even without Image Stabilizer. The only photos in this post that’s not taken by the 50 mm lens is the one below, which was taken by the 24-105 F4L IS USM, even with IS, the shutter speed for this photo is significantly longer.
