08:10 AM Pick up
We were expected to be waiting in the hotel lobby for the tour pick up at 08:10 AM and we were escorted to Hyatt Regency Tokyo, just opposite our hotel, on foot. It was 4 degree Celsius, a very cold morning.
Velvet stickers were given to us, indicating the tour group that we were taking. We were brought to Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo where we were split up to the 3 different tour groups – the Mt. Fuji & Hakone tour, the Tokyo tour or the Talk of the Town tour. Once on board our Mt. Fuji & Hakone coach, we were required to choose the package so that arrangements can be made. There are 4 types of packages available.
- Return by coach, excluding lunch – 11,000 Yen (S$180.40)
- Return by coach, including lunch – 13,000 Yen (S$213.20)
- Return by Shinkansen, excluding lunch – 14,000 Yen (S$229.60)
- Return by Shinkansen, including lunch – 16,000 Yen (S$246.00)
The lunch mentioned above is fixed – western style Grilled Chicken. We won’t want to have western food in Japan! We could order our own meals from the restaurant. The menu of the restaurant was available on the coach. After calculating, we took up the 11,000 Yen package.
