Shanghai Day 06 – Shanghai General Motors

14:00 PM Shanghai General Motors Company Ltd

We had our 3rd and last company visit today. Class ended at about 12:30 PM and we were given about 30 minutes for lunch. The university got us packed lunch that we ordered on Monday. We left the university at 13:15 PM as some of the students were late.Â The bus journey to Shanghai GM was 30 minutes.

We were brought to the meeting room and were given an overview of the company. Next weÂ toured around the car showroom.

We left Shanghai GM at about 4:30 PM and were back at the hotel at 5 PM. We had an hour of project group discussion and went back our room to wash up before rushing out for dinner.

18:10 PM é¡ºåé˜

We decided to have steamboat dinner at the restaurant next to our hotel. There weren’t many people in the restaurant when we entered. The place was quite dirty – I saw a mini cockroach on the wall halfway throughout our meal.

JR also bought a bottle of liquor to try. It was too strong for us. The food was quite tasty, which I think was due to the large amount of MSG added. It became saltier as the soup evaporates. It was so terribly salty that we gave up.

We took the metro to å—äº¬è¥¿è·¯ Nanjing West Road and walked over to æ±‰åŸŽ. I bought a white headphone, a earpiece and a iPhone case. JR got 5 pairs of cufflinks from a stall. We walked back to å—äº¬è¥¿è·¯ Nanjing West Road and shopped around the area.
