Date: 30 June 2012 Saturday
11:05 AM Wat Pho
We walked all the way to our next destination.
Our tickets
Wat Pho, aka the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok.
We paid 20THB each for a bowl of coins.
We dropped the coins one by one into the 108 bronze bowls along the corridor. The bowls represent the 108 auspicious characters of Buddha and it is believed to bring good fortune by dropping the coins into the bowls.
Strolling around the temple.
Cat!
The bottom of my shoe started to drop out after the long walking.
13:00 PM Chatuchak Weekend Market
We took a cab to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, the largest market in Thailand. The stupid cab driver dropped us off at the tropical fish stores in the animal section.
Eek WORMS!
Puppies! Can I have one too???
Scary looking creature.
We had fried chicken rice for lunch at a random food stall within Chatuchak.
This was how we squeezed into the tiny tuk tuk. We left Chatuchak for dinner.
19:45 PMÂ Taling Pling @Â Central World Bangkok
Finally decided to have our dinner at Taling Pling, the same restaurant that we visited the day before. Wei Ling wanted to  have the local Thai street food for dinner but it was raining outside so we had to stay indoors.
Sambal Kang Kong
Tom Yam Soup
Tom Yam Tang Hoon Salad
Thai Fishcake
Green Curry
Mummy with a devil pig statue at a random restaurant.
20:30 PM Swenson’s
It was dessert time!
The rain stopped and we walked along the street stalls outside the  mall. We  took 2 tuk tuk back to the hotel…
We loved the tuk tuk so much that we bought one for ourselves. :).
Another purchase of the day – An elephant doll which we bought earlier at The Grand Palace.
