We were up before 7 AM. It was a workday for JR and my first day as a “tour guide” for JZ and MIL.

JR left for work right after breakfast. As it was still early, I went back to the room for a nap until 09:30 AM.
10:30 AM Express Bus Terminal Subway Station
I left the hotel at 10:15 AM and found my way to the Express Bus Terminal Subway Station after asking for directions from the hotel staff. The subway station is just next to the hotel, linked by a passageway.

10:55 AM Gyeongbokgung Subway Station
I was 5 minutes early. Both MIL & JZ were already at Gyeongbokgung subway station exit 2 when I arrived. It was drizzling slightly and I was the only one with an umbrella. As planned, I brought them to Tosokchon. It wasn’t difficult to locate the restaurant since it was my second time there.

It was a 10 minutes walk from Gyeongbokgung subway station to Tosokchon. From Gyeongbokgung subway station exit 2, walk straight towards Hyoja-dong and turn left at the first road, after GS25. We spotted Tosokchon at once after turning into the small road.
There’s no queue yet! Glad that we were early. We were seated in one of the rooms.

Tosokchon still serve the best Samgyetang. I couldn’t finish my Samgyetang as I had breakfast earlier. There was a long queue outside the restaurant when we left at noon.
12:20 PM Gyeongbokgung Subway Station
It was raining when we left Tosokchon. We hurried back to Gyeongbokgung subway station.
