R.A.I.N.I.E. for rainie
Our dinner
舅舅 helping R into her high chair.
Got 2 Ang Ku Kueh for R to step on. Supposed to get those giant ones but we didn’t know where to get them so just got to make do with the small ones. According to Chinese traditions, if a birthday child steps on the giant Ang Ku Kueh and then put on a pair of new shoes, he/she will have a smooth journey in life.
The stepping begins.
Smashed!
I ate them… dun waste….
R’s first pair of shoes… her favourite Hello Kitty.
It’s time for 抓调.
We found a few items and placed them on a tray for R to pick:
Book – Studious, May become a scholar, professor etc.
Money – Will be extremely wealthy
Chicken Drumstick – Prosperous, A life of satisfaction
Stethoscope – Health Services, Doctors, Vets, Nurses
Abacus – Merchant, Trader, Broker, Financial Officer
Calligraphy Brush – Writer, Artist, Publishing
Oooooh… She was picking up the stethoscope.
The chicken drumstick was next.
But finally decided that $$ is more practical? She grabbed the $ and ran around the room.
Ran back to the tray again to pick up the book.
Enjoying her chicken drumstick. Hope you will have a life of abundance & good food!
