12:30 PM Back to Fukuoka
We were back at Tosu Premium Outlets to do some last minute shopping before leaving the area. Heading back to Fukuoka today, which means our holiday is coming to an end soon :(.
13:00 PM Dazaifu Tenman-gū 太宰府天満宮
We dropped by Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine for some sightseeing.
Trying the Umegae mochi 梅ヶæžé¤…, a grilled yuzu bean cake stamped with the pattern of a plum tree flower. The snack is said to be associated with the shrine for their connection to the legend of Michizane.
Sweet! I love it!
14:45 PM Kisuimaru @ Marinoa City Fukuoka
We went shopping at another outlets mall and had late lunch at Kisuimaru.
My Sushi don set
JR’s
JR observed the way the locals had their food and followed them by pouring the raw egg and sesame sauce into his done before eating.
Bought back a dozen of awesome donuts for our supper.
18:40 PM Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk
Finally arrived at the last hotel for our entire Kyushu trip! We were looking forward to the hotel stay at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk because JR had signed up for the discounted room upgraded, subjected to room availability. We were disappointed to learn during check in that the hotel was fully booked for the holiday season hence there was no upgrade for us. Nevertheless, the hotel was nice enough to provide complimentary parking for our stay.
We were escorted up to our room on the 21st floor. The room was really huge, with lots of running area for R but there was 1 problem. There were 3 single beds in the room!!??!
We checked with the hotel and were informed that there was a misunderstanding during the booking. JR had booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Since there were 3 persons, they gave us 3 single beds instead of the 2 double beds as requested. We were quite upset but there was nothing we could do not since the hotel was fully booked. The floor manager discussed with the reception staff in Japanese, not knowing that JR could understand them a little. JR said they had initially thought of providing complimentary breakfast to us but in the end gave us free Internet usage for the next few days.
We pushed one of the single beds against the wall and I co-sleep with her so she doesn’t fall off the bed. Problem solved!
View from our room.

20:00 PM Supermarket Shopping
We went to one of the Aeon Malls for shopping. The supermarket was packed with people and there were lots of discounts everywhere. It looked like our Chinese New Year in Singapore where everyone is buying fresh groceries for the holiday.
Bought sushi, strawberries and pizza back to the hotel for dinner.
