Date:16 Oct 2015 Friday
We had a 2nd family trip to Honshu, just a month after our last trip to Hong Kong in 2015 September. It could also be considered as our babymoon trip before we welcome our boys. My MIL also tagged along with us since she wanted to visit Japan too but couldn’t find a travel partner. As there were 6 of us, we thought that it would be cheaper to stay in Airbnbs and also to experience staying in traditional Japanese homes. It didn’t turn out as good as expected, due to some unforeseen and unhappy incidents towards the last few days of our trip. Will talk about this in my later posts.

DAY 01
Leaving for Osaka! We caught the red-eye flight, SQ618 (SIN-KIX).
Managed to get a bit of sleep on the flight.
Arrived in KIX early in the morning. Picked up our rental car from Hertz and started our day with shopping at Rinku Premium Outlets!
Rinku Premium Outlets
Rinku Premium Outlets is just 5 mins drive away from KIX.
R had her share of fun at Rinku Premium Outlets’ playground.
We shopped until it was check-in time to our Airbnb house. It wasn’t easy to locate the house but we managed to find it in the end.
Living area
Small dining area
The kitchen
There are 3 bedrooms in the house, 1 on the 1st floor, next to the kitchen and 2 on the 2nd floor. Each room on the 2nd floor has its own stairway.
One of the bedrooms on the 2nd floor, normal beds but gave my parents this room because the stairway to this room didn’t have railing. Too dangerous for our baby R.
The other bedroom on 2nd floor – Japanese style room. We took this room, safe for R. No worries about her falling out of bed.
Bathroom
Bedroom on 1st floor for my MIL
Our hosts left us a little welcome gift.
Little balcony at a corner
Dotonbori & Shinsaibashisuji
Explored Dotonbori & Shinsaibashisuji after taking a short rest.
NO… we didn’t have dinner at Ichiran! We didn’t know its existence then.
We had dinner at a random restaurant since we didn’t know what’s good there.
It was almost closing time when we finished our dinner so we didn’t really explore the area well enough.
