What do we have here?

Our new 5D Mark II!!!

Haha, yes… this is a miniature 5D Mark II 2 GB flash drive.

Bought this new neck strap from Canon shop too.

Crumpler’s Industry Disgrace branded with Canon EOS logo

It’s very strong with great padding, noticeably more comfortable than the normal camera strap.
Yes, the standard neck strap from camera manufacturer is an industry disgrace.

Getting the REAL one now…

The miniature 5D Mark II beside the REAL one!

Welcome to our family!

From left: Olympus SW850, Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS 450D and Sony T-100. (miniature 5D Mark II not counted). We are lucky that we got our EF 24-105mm lens before our Japan trip. The prices for L lens just increased by about $400-$500 more as compared to previously.

Photos taken by our dear MARK II:

Comparing Mark II & 450D:
Experiment — Both photos are took by the same lighting condition, same camera, same person (Jr), same focusing point (at the head of Grimlock), same lens (24 – 105mm F4L IS USM), same aperture (F4) but with different body and different focal length (to cater for the 1.6x crop factor of the 450D). Last but not least, of course, without any photo editing involved.

Close up comparison at 100% crop from the 2 photos above.
Notice that the 5D Mark II (on the left) captures more details than the 450D (on the right)?
