Ah Yat Abalone Banquet Hall

It isn’t easy to get to the banquet hall. Finally found the place with the directions given by the staff there. Finally reached the banquet hall at about 7:30 PM. I was the second one there after Ryan. We were entertained with a mixture of Hokkien, Cantonese, English and Chinese KTV singing before the dinner.

Dinner started at about 8:30 PM. We were seated quite far away from the main stage, hence unable to see Siew Lin & hubby during their march-in. Never mind, I will concentrate taking photos of the delicious food. I only brought along my Sony T-100 as it is the only camera that can fit into my Eva.

First dish – Roasted Whole Suckling Pig.

There is no cold dish in the menu, something different from most weddings.

Braised Superior Shark’s Fin Soup

Scallop with Broccoli

Steamed Fish in H.K. Style

Stewed Whole Abalone with Japanese Mushroom & Vegetable

Prawns with Celery (according to Ryan)

Didn’t touch it as I don’t take prawns and CELERY!

Soy Sauce Chicken

Fried Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf

Double boiled Lotus Seeds with Lily Bulb & White Fungus

Yixin was also snapping photos all night.

The dinner ended at about 10:30 PM. As planned, Joanne, Ryan, Stacey, Yixin, Wai Choong & I went to PS. Cafe at Harding for drinks.

WC’s Hot Chocolate

My Pu Er & Chrysanthemum

Nice..
