15:45 PM Citin Pratunam Bangkok

Our cab from CentralWorld Bangkok couldn’t find our hotel. We finally found the way back but was 10 minutes late. Mummy, Wei Ling and Wei Lian were waiting for us at the hotel lobby. We checked into their room and took a short rest before going out for food..

Citin’s tuk tuk

Citin provides free transport ride to The Platinum Fashion Mall.

16:00 PM The Platinum Fashion Mall

The tuk tuk dropped us off opposite the road.

We went up to Platinum Fashion Mall’s food court. We bought pre-paid cards to purchase our food.

Coconut drink

Fried Prawn Noodles

Gurva drink

18:15 PM Around Pratunam

We did some shopping and left The Platinum Fashion Mall. We walked all the way back to our hotel, took a short rest and left again to explore Bangkok.

19:00 PM Thai Massage

We walked along the path that the tuk tuk took us earlier. We found a massage parlor that looked quite professional.

Washing our feet before the massage.

Massaging in progress. The 1 hour session ended with a short shoulder and neck massage. All of us enjoyed the massage except Mummy. She said the lady who attended to her didn’t do a good job.

20:40 PM MBK Shopping Center Bangkok

All 5 of us squeezed into a single tuk tuk to MBK Shopping Center. We were really lucky because it rained heavily the moment we got onto the tuk tuk. But I did get a little wet because I was sitting at the side.

A local Thai snack

Finally decided to have dinner at Sukishi, a Charcoal Grill and Japanese restaurant.

The food wasn’t that satisfying, perhaps because we had tried even better charcoal grill food.  We went to purchase some local snacks from one of the stores before heading back to our hotel. Once again we squeezed into a tuk tuk. The tuk tuk that was willing to give us a ride was slightly smaller than the one before. There was no cushion on the side seat for me and Wei Ling had to sit on the ground. Everyone was looking at us when our tuk tuk drove by. Our first day in Bangkok ended with night shopping at the Pratunam Night Market.
