Date: February 2013
I finally made it through the dreaded first trimester. Being superstitious, we kept silent over my pregnancy news until the end of the first trimester, when the risk of miscarriage is lower. It was difficult to keep this happy news from friends and colleagues.
It started with a cold sore on the left corner of my mouth. I had cold sores previously but somehow I had the feeling that this one was different. My previous cold sores came together with common cold (running nose, etc) but this time I didn’t have any. I had difficulties sleeping at nights, problem falling asleep and kept waking up a few times every night. My gums were also slightly sore. I decided to do my first pregnancy test on 01 Dec 2012, 12 dpo. I used one of the cheap $2 pregnancy test kits from Mustafa. I learnt about this pregnancy test kit from Xiaxue’s blog. It was certainly much cheaper as compared to those kits you can get from Watsons.
An extremely faint line , nearly invisible. Or am I imagining it?
I thought I had wasted another pregnancy test kit but I really have the feeling that I’m pregnant. I did the tests again for the next 2 mornings. The test lines for the test kits seem slightly darker. JR even went to get the expensive Clearblue test kits for me during his lunch time.
Morning tests
Clearblue Test – It showed the positive sign quite clearly.
Since I couldn’t give away my test kits because I couldn’t announce my pregnancy yet and they will expire soon, I decided to pee on all of them!
A clearly and thicker line on 04 Dec 2012.
05 Dec 2012
06, 13 and 16 Dec 2012
A total of 11 test kits used! Couldn’t remember that I had used so many test kits.
P.S.: the yellowness of my pee is due to the folic acid in the multivitamin pills that I’m taking for pregnancy >.<.
