10:00 AM London Bridge

A: Borough Market
B: London Bridge
Total walking time = 20 minutes

London Bridge is within walking distance from Borough Market. My initial plan was to take a walk across the London Bridge so we could have a nice view of the opposite Tower Bridge. We only managed to walk to the starting point of the bridge before I gave up because I couldn’t stand the cold. I was feeling unwell due to the cold and jet lag. We decided to go somewhere warmer.

10:50 AM Portobello Road Market

A: London Bridge [London Bridge Station]
B: Portobello Road Market [Notting Hill Gate Station]
Total travelling time = 34 minutes

We walked back to London Bridge Station. The Jubilee Line was unavailable that morning so we took the tube along the Central Line instead.

Walking towards Portobello Road Market.

There are many stalls selling different types of antiques along Portobello Road Market.

Walked past The Hummingbird Bakery store along the way. We went into the crowded store and bought an expensive £2.65 (S$5) Red Velvet cupcake.

Making our way towards our next destination.

Our bus, 23, to Liverpool Street.

We took a bus from Oxford Street to Harrods Department Store for another round of shopping.

The store was full of bunnies and eggs as Easter was coming. The Easter chocolates for sale were beautiful but extremely expensive.

We decided to head back to the hotel to take a break before dinner.

A: Hilton London Euston Hotel [Euston Station]
B: Wild Honey Restaurant [Oxford Circus Station]

We woke up at 6+ PM, washed up and made our way to Wild Honey Restaurant for dinner. I got to know about this one Michelin Star restaurant from one of my colleagues and had made reservation a few weeks earlier.

12 St George Street
London – West

Greater London

The restaurant has a nice ambience but is surprising small. We were brought to our table at a corner of the restaurant.

My chicken…

JR’s veal…

Duck Foie Gras Terrine – I prefer the pan seared foie gras that we usually have in Singapore.

Wild Honey Ice Cream with Honeycomb – Nice but extremely sweet dessert.

We went back to the hotel right after dinner as most of the shops along Oxford Street were closing.
